Weekend Musings

Here are some of my weekend musings - things I find interesting, entertaining, useful & yummy.  Have a great weekend!

6 Tips To Keep Your Poinsettias Looking Good

The holidays have landed upon us once again just like Dorothy’s house falling on the Wicked Witch Of The East.  Thunk!   I’ve just returned home from the San Francisco Bay Area where I was visiting friends for Thanksgiving and working on a Christmas decorating job.  I have a little down time now which I’m going to thoroughly enjoy.  My house is all decorated so let the cooking and merriment begin.

Here are some of my musings for this weekend, all of which revolve around this festive season:

Have you bought or been given a Christmas flower & don’t know how to take care of it?  They can be a bit tricky to maintain so I’ve put together 6 tips to keep your Poinsettias alive & looking good throughout the holidays.

If you’re having friends & family staying with you for the holidays, this cranberry pumpkin pie overnight french toast would be oh so convenient for Christmas & tasty for breakfast on christmas morning.

If you’re into cookie decorating, then be sure to check out these jazzy little Christmas trees.

While we’re on the topic of cookies … these soft, delicious & creamy buttermint cookies  make me say “yes please”.

Yes, I’m on cookie overload these days. Here are 25 (yes 25!) Christmas cookie recipes all with pics so you can choose your favorite(s).

Appetizers are 1 of my very favorite ways to eat.  These cranberry brie bites look like a very yummy & pretty holiday nosh.

Need a cocktail to go those brie bites?   This bourbon spiced pear cider would be a fitting option.

One of these years, I’d love to visit this Christmas Market in Strausbourg.  It’s the oldest in France & located in the beautiful Alsace  region.

Heading to The Windy City for the holidays?  A group of food bloggers contribute to this  diverse list of where to eat in Chicago.

If you’re looking for a gift for the gardener, crafter or cook in you life, then check out our Edna Apron.  It has lots of pockets, is snazzy yet very sturdy & made right here in California.

May your holiday season be full of joy, peace & love,
