Why Snake Plant Leaves Fall Over

JoyUsGarden.com

Snake Plant Leaves falling over is more likely to occur with taller growing varieties

WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT FALLING LEAVES? It’s pretty simple. Just prune and propagate.

Cut the leaf all the way down to the soil line. Make sure your pruners are clean and sharp to avoid a jagged cut and/or infection.

You want the leaves to callus over before you start to propagate, this usually occurs within a few days. After they heal over it's time to propagate.

The way I do it is to put the leaf back in the pot with the mother plant; the one it came out of. You can also put it in a separate pot filled with succulent and cactus mix or propagation mix if you’d like.

As Snake Plants grow tall, a leaf can cinch or fold at the base & the weight pulls it over. Don't let this discourage you, just prune it or stake it up!
