Okay … so I’m obsessed with wacky plants! Camellias just don’t hold the same fascination for me but I do enjoy looking at the classic English Border. Today … more crazies from the L.A. Arboretum in the Madegascar Garden.
The Arboretum is nestled in the hills near the San Gabriel Mountains in Arcadia and therefore cooler in the winter than downtown Los Angeles or the coastal towns. There was quite a bit of frost damage to some of these plants from a cold snap in late December.
An Echinopsis creeper and an Aloe in bloom across the path.
Looking out from the Madegascar Garden to a stand of ” Sticks On Fire” (Euphorbia tirucalli), Aloes and a background of Podocarpus’. So much to see in one glance it makes your head spin!
