The Los Angeles Arboretum, close to Pasadena, was a most delightful spot to spend the day. I showed you the feathered residents a few weeks back and now it’s time to look at a melange of things which sparked my interest.

Dee plane …. dee plane! Any Fantasy Island fans out there? The Queen Anne Cottage was used in the opening scenes of that popular T.V. show years ago. It recently received a gussied-up new paint job. It was painted dark brown and used incognito for the movie “Meet The Parents” as the Fockers’ Florida digs. She’s now restored back to her original color and looking better than ever. I’m sure the ducks and geese who claim the pond as their home were none too happy to have the film crew invading their territory!
